The Monotreme… Proof of Evolution, or God’s Chimera?

Creationists still seem to want to argue against the theory of evolution. They call the theory wrong and evil for saying that they evolved from some damned dirty ape.

While it may not be the whole truth, we probably are direct descendants of those “Damned Dirty Apes”

However, for some strange reason, Creationists still argue that there’s no living proof that animals evolve from one form to another that can be found in the living world.

Say hello to the Monotreme. You may ask yourself. “What the heck is this thing you’re calling a Monotreme!?”

A Monotreme is a family of mammals that can be found in eastern Australia. What kind of animals are these you might ask? Well they’re more commonly known as the Platypus and Echidna. (Yes, Knuckles is a Monotreme!)

Half man, half bear, half pigPlatypus are unique little creatures half duck, half mammal, half bird, and half reptile. And no, I’m not referring to something crazy and made up like Manbearpig!

While the idea of an animal that might present all of these features might seem delusional, the Platypus uniquely demonstrates each one of these physical characteristics.

The platypus is a warm blooded creature that produces milk. Thus rightfully it is classified as a mammal.

The platypus might be lacking in breasts, it certainly does produce milk through glands on its skin. The milk seeps out of the belly and on to the skin where the little platypussies can drink from the sweet sweet milk of their mother.

The platypus also is covered in fur. Lusciously beautiful thick fur that would make any mammal jealous.

Now what other characteristics do Platypuses have in common with other types of animals.

Venom Glad for the PlatypusPlatypuses can trace their roots back to reptilian ancestry as well.

One uniquely common trait among many different kinds of snakes is the presence of venom. Venom is defined as a harmful substance that causes some sort of paralysis or shock when introduced to the blood stream.

One stick from a platypus can make a human cry out in agony!

The venom gland can be found in the animal’s hindquarters. Venom is secreted through a little spur on the back of it’s hind feet.

In addition to creating venomous substances, the platypus also exhibits traits found commonly among fish and birds. The platypus is the only mammal on earth that reproduces by laying eggs. Platypus have been found to contain the genetic proteins that are found to be linked to both birds and fish!

Platypus are also the only mammal that have an interclavicle. This is also known as a “Wishbone”. You know, the thing you fight with your family over at the dinner table for the chance to break the bone and have your many wonderful wishes come true!? The presence of an interclavicle is normally only found among birds, however, the platypus has one.

Other little fun facts about the Platypus is that it has a duck bill and a beaver tail.

Some people may still be wondering… Is the Platypus a real animal?

I can assure you, yes the Platypus is a real animal. Not much like our friend here, the crocoduck! I don’t know about you, but if I saw one of these flying in my font yard I’d be pretty spooked. I might even wet myself… just a little.

So why even bring this all up? HAVE YOU EVEN READ THE ARTICLE!? HELLO, THIS IS PROOF THAT THERE ARE SOME ANIMALS THAT EXHIBIT TRAITS OF OTHER ANIMALS THUS PROVIDING A BRIDGE AMONG SPECIES AND BACKING UP THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION!

“Well, that’s nice, dumbass, but I didn’t come from no damned dirty ape.”

Well, yes you did… here’s the proof.

As you all may or may not know, humans exhibit 23 pairs of identical chromosomes. These chromosomes are what define us as humans. Primates on the other hand… have 24 pairs of chromosomes.

So one may ask themselves, where the heck did that extra pair of chromosomes go!?

Well, it’s a simple answer. Somewhere along the line 2 of the chromosomes fused together. Fused together, how could that possibly have happened!? Well, I don’t know how, I just know that they did.

Watch this little video.

There you go! Fusion point is found between chromosomes 2 and 3!

Now Creationists are still shaking their heads… “If this is all true, why have humans not evolved?”

We have, ever heard of down syndrome? =P

Does this rant dismiss god completely? Maybe not. However, it does invalidate the bible’a theory of Genesis!

My Mission

Some people would ask… Why create a website blog? Why would you invite the whole world to your inner thoughts?

Well the answer is simple… I’m tired of getting into stupid arguments on Facebook for posting something that might offend someone. On the same note I’m tired of having to walk on eggshells around my friends for fear that they dislike something I say…

So here’s what happens…

  • I post something I might find amusing regarding religion or show disgust for a certain topic.
  • Someone makes a comment belittling me or berating me for my beliefs.
  • I post something to defend my view and I always try to make the other person think why they believe what they do.
  • Said person who so militantly spewed their viewpoint all over my Facebook status accuses me of being militant.
  • I basically tell them I don’t care if I offend someone with my beliefs because their beliefs offend me.
  • Said person is disgusted by the fact that I find their religion offensive because it’s built on love and peace… (Whatever helps you sleep at night)
  • I tell them again, “I don’t care what your religion is so why do you care so much about mine?”
  • They go into a tirade about how I need to be saved and if I don’t repent I go to hell… (“I’m afraid for your soul so I must evangelize to you”)
  • The whole thing blows out of proportion, feelers get hurt, and people end up not being friends anymore.

For that reason, this website was born.

So, what do I expect from you, the reader? Nothing!

This blog is just a physical representation of the inner workings of my mind.

Over the next few weeks I will be doing the best I can to lay the foundation for this site. I will try and relay the most relevant information I can find. Keep in mind this is all strictly my own opinions.

I hope you can read what I have to say with an open mind and I look forward to letting the world know what I think.
